I was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, the third of four children.  I attended St. Pius X High School graduating in 2003.  My love for writing and making movies took me to Chapman University, where I graduated with a degree in screenwriting 2007.  Shortly after graduating college, I took the slightly impulsive step of joining the United States Marine Corps for the free trips to the middle east.

In 2008 I was Commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the USMC.  In 2009 I graduated from the Infantry Officers Course and was subsequently assigned to 1st Battalion 4th Marines as a Platoon Commander.  Through my Marine Corps career, I served as a Platoon Commander, Executive Officer, Operations Officer, Foreign Infantry Advisor, Officer in Charge, and Company Commander.  I participated in six deployments with the United States Marine Corps, including combat tours to Iraq and Afghanistan.    My most recent duty was serving as Deputy Current Operations Officer for Marine Forces Northern Command during the 2020 Coronavirus pandemic.

During law school at the University of New Mexico, I worked for a local private firm and interned a semester at the Law Offices of the Public Defender.  I graduated law school in 2018 and was immediately deployed overseas again, upon my return I took and passed the bar. I was admitted to practice law in the state of New Mexico in 2019.
